We are approaching the end of the school year and there is quite a lot going on.  I wanted to take a moment to share a few important items with you.

Stakeholder Engagement

As we near the end of the Stakeholder Engagement portion of our Long-term Strategic Planning process, I want to make sure that everyone understands the importance of participation and to remind you that the deadline for contributing your thoughts is quickly approaching. Thank you to all who have already attended a meeting or entered thoughts into the ThoughtExchange. We are grateful for your contributions.

The deadline for participating in the Stakeholder Engagement ThoughtExchanges has been extended to May 6, 2021 at 5 p.m.

The Board of Education wants to hear from as many people as possible, so we hope you will take time to visit our webpage to learn more about Stakeholder Engagement for the District Strategic Plan and click the links to the ThoughtExchange questions to lend your voice to the discussions. Every voice matters.

If you have any questions about the Stakeholder Engagement Process, please email Communications@srvusd.net.

ACSA Administrators Honored

I am pleased to share that administrators from the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) have been selected as Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Administrators of the Year.

This year, the SRVUSD had six Region 6 nominees, three of whom were selected as Region winners. The region winners’ names are forwarded to the state Awards Committee for consideration as state finalists.

This annual awards program honors administrators for their achievements and their dedication to public education at both the regional and state levels. We are proud of these educators and thank them for their commitment to our students.

SRVUSD Region 6 Nominees:

Secondary Principal: Kevin Ahern, Region Winner

Secondary Co-Administrator: Lauren Falkner, Region Winner

Personnel/Human Resources Administrator: Keith Rogenski, Region Winner

Elementary Principal: Christine Offerman

Classified Leader: Tami Castelluccio

Curriculum & Instruction Administrator: Debra Petish

COVID Surge Abroad

We continue to hear about the COVID surge in India.  We know that we have many SRVUSD staff members and families who may be affected by the situation. These are challenging times and we want you to know that if you are in need of support, the District team is here and ready to help. If you need support, we encourage you to contact your school site principal.

We send our wishes of strength and hope to everyone affected by what is happening abroad, here at home, and throughout the world, as we continue to battle this pandemic.
